Η ομοφυλοφοβία στην Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση / Homophobia report - the Legal & the Social Situation

Με αφορμή δημοσίευμα του Βήματος το οποίο μπορείτε να το διαβάσετε στο Απέναντι Πεζοδρόμιο εδώ, που αναφέρεται στην ομοφυλοφοβία και τις διακρίσεις στην Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση, και το οποίο προέκυψε μετά την αναφορά του EU Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA), δημοσιεύουμε τις δύο αναφορές για το θέμα αυτό του FRA και το σχετικό δελτίο τύπου της LGBT Intergroup.

1) Report: Part 1 - Legal analysis. Αυτή είναι η πρώτη αναφορά του FRA, νομική ανάλυση για την ομοφυλοφοβία και τις διακρίσεις στην Ε.Ε. Δημοσιεύθηκε στις 30/6/2008 και μπορείτε να την διαβάσετε κατεβάζοντας το pdf 164 σελίδων πιέζοντας εδώ.

2) Report: Part 2 - the Social Situation. Εδώ έχουμε την κοινωνική κατάσταση σε σχέση με την ομοφυλοφοβία και τις διακρίσεις και είναι αυτή στην οποία αναφέρεται το δημοσίευμα του Βήματος. Μπορείτε να κατεβάσετε το pdf 160 σελίδων πιέζοντας εδώ. Δημοσιεύθηκε στις 31/3/09.

3) Δελτίο Τύπου της LGBT Intergroup. Με την αφορμή αυτή η LGBT Intergroup του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου, εξέδωσε το παρακάτω δελτίο τύπου:

"European Parliament's Intergroup urges politicians to have courage to end discrimination."

Today the European Union's Fundamental Right's Agency (FRA) published the second part of the report "Homophobia and Discrimination on Grounds of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity in the EU Member States" covering the social situation of LGBT people in EU Member States.
"Now we have a report by an EU agency clearly showing that LGBT people are suffering severe and unacceptable levels of discrimination and harassment within the EU", said Michael Cashman, President of the European Parliament's Intergroup on Gay and Lesbian Rights. "Politicians in Member States and the European Commission have a reliable factual data as well as good recommendations by FRA to tackle the problems. I urge politicians to have the courage to end the discrimination which causes so much suffering to so many citizens of Europe."
